I am getting a lot more comfortable experimenting with my Bible Journaling these days and adding more and more interest to my pages. Today, not only did I watercolor, add quite a lot of shine with Perfect Pearls, do a two page spread, I also added a lot of hand drawing (very simple) to really fill out and add interest to my pages. Also, I had a bit of a mistake in where I placed a stamp so I did have to find a fix. I kept this portion in the video tutorial to share some creative thinking, because unlike with cardmaking, I can’t just toss a piece of paper if I mess it up beyond repair. These pages are all connected and make up my Bible so I won’t be ripping any out and had to find a way to fix my mistake. Be sure to watch the video tutorial below to see all the details!!
Today, I am not only on my blog, but also over on the Joy Clair Stamps Blog as well. You can visit me over there for the full written tutorial, or keep on reading below for a slightly condensed version.
The Armor of God stamp set is a very large stamp set and there are so many pieces you will never run out of ideas and uses for it. I did use it to do some Bible Journaling today, however, these stamps could easily be used along with a happy birthday sentiment to create a fun medieval birthday card or even an encouragement/praying for you card!
When creating these Bible Journaling Pages, after stamping and watercoloring were finished I really wasn’t happy with the way they had turned out. They were just too simple and that says a lot coming from me! So I got out my Micron pen and started adding some very simple hand drawing around the stamped images to make them stand out a bit more. If you choose to add hand drawing to any of your journaling just remember it doesn’t have to be anything outrageous. I just used lines and dots of different sizes to create my interest. It really was that simple!
I hope you watched the video tutorial above to see exactly how I put together these two Bible Journaling pages and also how I fixed a big mistake. These two pages were an awesome learning experience and I am having such a great time really experimenting with all the products and techniques you can use in your Bible Journaling.
