Making Another Window Scene

Using the Window Pane die I cut in the center of an A2 sized kraft panel. I also did a lot more die cutting. The cactus I cut in green, the flower in pink, and then I pulled out the Scene Builders die set and cut the road from black, mountains from kraft, and the sun from yellow. Finally I used my paper trimmer to cut down a white card stock panel to fit behind the window pane.

To build my scene I masked off the sky and Distress Ink Blended in a sunset. After I finished with the sky, I masked it off and moved onto blending in the ground, or sand for this particular scene. Then, using glossy accents I adhered down the road, mountain, and sun die cuts.

To finish this card off, I adhered the outside of the Window Pane die cut with thin double sided adhesive onto an A2 top folding kraft card base. When cutting with the Window Pane die it leaves stitching on the outside of the die cut as well to create a frame. Then I adhered the scene panel onto the card base in the center of the frame. With double sided adhesive and fun foam I popped up the Window Pane die cut, making sure it lined up with the frame and finally the cactus die cut. I also popped it up with double sided adhesive and fun foam in the bottom right hand opening in the window pane die cut. And for my sentiment I stamped “Heartfelt Thanks” from the Simply Said stamp set in black dye ink in the top left hand opening.

I have a major love for all cacti and succulents, ever since being introduced to them through my Mother-In-Law, I think because they’re so easy to take care of!
