Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today, I am not only on my blog, but I am also over on the Joy Clair Stamps Blog as well, sharing some more of my Bible Journaling. For my layout today, I used the brand new God’s Focus Stamp Set to dress up the very first page in my Bible, Genesis 1:27. You can watch the full video tutorial below!
For my stamping on this page, I used a waterproof black dye ink and worked on untreated pages. Starting with the three photos on a string, I stamped them once in the top right hand corner and then masked off the first stamp and connected the strings on a second stamping. Then, after masking off all the words to the left of the margin, I stamped the film image four times to fill up the margin. My last stamping was on a black circle die cut in Versamark Ink. I stamped the Genesis 1:27 sentiment and then heat embossed in white.
To color in my images I used my Prismacolor Colored Pencils. Alot of the images on this page are blacks, grays and whites, so to help them pop off the page I added halos of blue around the photos at the top of the page for added dimension. I also added blues around the top of the film strips and more grays for a grounding effect along the bottom. This helped add a little something extra to the coloring so it wasn’t just a simple monochromatic colored layout.
To finish off this page, I stamped a few of the hearts around the Genesis 1:27 verse and colored them red. I also attached the black circle die cut with double sided adhesive to the right margin of the page.
