ENJOY!!
Starting with a white card stock die cut, made with the largest rectangle in the Crazy Stitched Frames Die Set, I masked off a circle in the top center of the panel. The mask was made with the medium circle in the Inside Scalloped Circle Die Set, and made sure to mask using not only the frame, but also the center of the die cut as well. Then, using all the little individual flowers included in the Floral Wreaths stamp Set and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, I started stamping out a floral background. I made sure to focus around the masked circle, so you would really be able to see the circle, once I removed the masks.
When I was happy with my stamping, I removed the masks and then masked off the area around the circle. Then, using my Mini Ink Blending Tool and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks, I started blending inside the circle that I had masked to add a bit of color. To finish off this background, I removed the mask and started coloring in the stamped flowers with my alcohol markers. To choose my colors, I pulled colors from Mood Board, which is a big help! I love looking at the mood board as a source of inspiration, because I am absolutely horrible at choosing and matching colors myself!
To finish this card, I stamped “You’re” from the Wishful Thoughts Stamp Set in the center of the now pink circle with Versamark Ink. Then, I heat embossed that sentiment in white embossing powder. I also used the same Versamark Ink and White Embossing Powder to stamp and heat embossing the word “Amazing” from the same stamp set onto a piece of black card stock. I adhered this black sentiment strip with fun foam and double sided adhesive underneath the “You’re”, and also a white cardstock inside scalloped circle die cut with glossy accents to frame out the sentiment. Finally, I adhered this entire panel onto an A2 top folding white card base with double sided adhesive.
Remember, you have until the end of May to enter a card of your own into the challenge! You have the opportunity to win one of three awesome prizes, so be sure to head over to the Facebook page and check out all the details and rules.
