Hello Everyone and welcome to the Flawless for Summer Event with Joy Clair Stamps!! If you are just starting out on my blog, here’s the run down. Today, the entire Joy Clair Stamps Design Team is using the Flawless stamp set and showcasing projects made with this particular stamp set. Some are doing Bible Journaling and others cards. This is such a fun and versatile set we are here to show you today, a lot of different ways you can use the Flawless Stamp Set! If you want to see exactly how I put my card together, be sure to watch the video tutorial below!
I LOVE make up and really always have since I was a little girl, so this set pretty much just calls my name. My initial plan was to mask out a scene full of make up, but a few of the girls from the DT beat me to the punch and they’e cards are stunning and creative, so I decided to go another route. After cutting a corner off an A2 white card stock panel, I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the lipstick image to stamp a very graphic background. To finish off the panel, I grabbed a rainbow array of colors to color in the lipsticks and used gray and black for the tube.
To separate the graphic angled panel and the background on the card front, I wanted to add a strip of glitter paper without the mess! So in order to do that I used Black Twinkle Embossing Powder on black card stock to create my own paper with a bit of sparkle. I adhered a strip of this paper to the angle and trimmed it down to size with my scissors. For the background on the card front I used seeral of the smaller sentiments from the “Hello Sentiments” Stamp Set and black dye ink to stamp a multi word background. I then adhered the angled panel with fun foam and double sided adhesive to complete the front of the card.
On the inside of the card, I first stamped a sentiment from the same Hello Sentiments stamp set and then also stamped, color and fussy cut the same lipstick tube as before. I adhered the lipstick so it was connected to the stamped sentiment to appear as if the lipstick wrote the sentiment. Finally, I added a thin strip of black card stock at an angle for a little more added interest.
