Here we are at Day 2 of the Craftin Desert Divas July Release!! Today, the DT is featuring the brand new Sunny Smiles Stamp Set and Island Dies! I have two cards for you, using each of the new products to give you a fun peek at both of them! Be sure and check out both cards below and when you’re done, head over to the Facebook Release Event Page so you can see what the rest of the DT has done with these fun new stamp & die sets!!
For my first card, I used both the Ocean Border Dies (which were highlighted yesterday HERE) and the brand new Island Dies to create a fun die cut scene. The new Island dies are perfect for creating any beach front scene! I especially love all of the details that are on each die cut! These tiny dots & dashes add so much to any scene!!
Along with the two new die sets, I also used a few other older sets to complete my card. I used the Stitched In Circle Die to create the yellow frame around the scene and the Flag Banner Dies to add my sentiment strip. The main focal point of this card is the circle scene and the sunset which I create with a few different colors of Distress Inks. Also, I did add a few sequins from the Melon Drop Sequin Mix for a bit of embellishment!
For my second card today I created another scene, this time using the newe Sunny Smiles Stamp Set. This adorable set has some cute critter images with a beach theme. I used the giraffe, zebra, and umbrella from the set to make a scene and finished the entire scene with my alcohol markers.
To finish off this beach scene, I added a few cloud and bird die cuts from the Scene Builder die set. For the sentiment, I again used the Flag Banner Die Set and matted the entire scene onto a kraft die cut from the Fancy Frames Die Set and adhered everything onto an A2 card base.
Be sure, if you haven’t already, to head over to the Facebook Release Event Page and check out what the rest of the DT has made!! If you are interested in the supplies I used on my cards today, you will find them linked below! (Affiliate links are used at no additional cost to you)
Thank you so much for stopping in today! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!!
