Let’s Make a Card

Today is the very first day of full sneak peeks in the Craftin Desert Divas September New Release!! For my card today I used the brand new Harvest Happiness Stamp Set to create a fun CAS thank you card. I make A LOT of thank you cards and after awhile, they can all start to look alike, which is one reason I absoulutely LOVE this set! It is perfect for fall and the scarecrows in this set are super adorable!! The sentiments not only include the “Note of Thanks” which I used on my card today, but there are also some other amazing sentiments included in the set (and one especially funny one!!). I can’t wait until you see the entire set, I just know everyone is going to love it as much as I do! This was a super simple card to put together! The stamp I used already has a scene built around it, so after stamping and coloring you don’t need to add a lot of extras to create a beautiful card. To color in this image, I used my Prismacolor Colored Pencils and I did choose some very “fallish” colors – reds, oranges, browns & yellows.

After coloring the image and attaching the panel to an A2 top folding card base, all that was left to do was to add the kraft frame I had cut with the largest rectangle in the Inside Scalloped Rectangles Die Set. I popped it up with some fun foam and double sided adhesive and also popped up a banner with the “Note of Thanks” sentiment along the bottom of the card. To finish off the card I popped up a few clouds around the top of the little stamped scene. I used the cloud die from the Scene Builders Die Set (one of my all time FAVORITE die sets) – it is the perfect size for so many of my scenes!!
