Today during the Craftin Desert Divas October Release the DT is highlighting the brand new Angel Kisses Stamp Set and I couldn’t wait to turn these adorable little images into a spinner card! I haven’t made a spinner card on my channel yet, and this was set was PERFECT for the technique! You can watch the full video tutorial below, but if you want to see even more fantastic projects made with this brand new stamp set, be sure and head over to the October Facebook Release Event where the DT is sharing all of their creations!!
Be sure and watch the video tutorial above for all the details on how to exactly put this card together. Here are a few of the details and a quick wrap up though! I started with an A2 top folding card base and and after stamping the “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing” sentiment into the bottom right hand corner, I used the circle dies included in the Stitched In Circle die set to cut a hole in the top center of the front panel. Then, with the same circle die inlaid into a larger scalloped circle die, I cut a white card stock frame.
I stamped two little angels from the brand new Angel Kisses Stamp Set and fussy cut each one on the stamped lines. Then, using my alcohol markers I colored in each image. Because the images are not actually mirror and exact on each side, I did use a black marker – that DIDN’T bleed – to color in the edges and the back of the fussy cut images. And finally it was time to start putting the spinner together!
For my string, I used white embroidery floss and adhesive I used a mixture of wet and dry. To adhere the string, I used double sided adhesive on back of one of the angels, then on the second I applied some glossy accents and sandwiched the string, placing an acrylic block on top of it while it dried. Then, on the circle window I put down more double sided adhesive on the top and bottom and again, used that to hold the string in place before sandwiching it between the card base and the frame which I popped up with fun foam. And to completely finish off the card I just added a few sequins from the brand new Polar Frost sequin mix!!
I don’t make many interactive card because I have such a limited amount of crafty time, I find they take up a little too much time. However, this card was super fun and quick to pull together! I can’t wait to try more styles of spinner cards with different shapes, stamps & even multiple spinners!!
If you haven’t had enough of this adorable Angel Kisses Stamp Set, be sure to head over to the Facebook October Release Event to see all the projects the DT ladies have made!!
