Hello Everyone!!! This month, CDD is having a Mini Release and the brand new Holiday Border die set is PERFECT for all your holiday cards, planner pages, and scrapbooking! One of the reasons I love the CDD border dies so much is because of their versatility! So today, I have three different cards to share with you, using each of the border dies in this new set! For my first card I used the lights border die. I pulled out a rainbow assortment of alcohol markers and colored in each light bulb. Then with a gray marker I colored in the metal part of the light and finally colored in the strand green. After cutting and coloring three of the strands I added them to a frame with a vellum backing and created a fun shaker card!
Next up was the tree border. I used my Distress Inks & mini post it’s to mask and color in each little element on the border. I added a bit of glitter to the top of each present for the final touch. For this border I combined it with the Nice List Stamp Set and Snow Flurries Stencil to finish off the entire scene.
On the final ornament border die I used the negative of the die cut as a stencil. I smooshed some Versamark Ink through the “stencil” and then heat embossed in white. After ink blending over the embossing I die cut the panel and added a die cut cut sentiment. To finish off the card I finished stamping the sentiment inside.
