Have you seen the new #cddmonthly mood board for the month of November? As always it was release on the first of this month and it is gorgeous!! Now if you haven’t played along with the Craftin Desert Divas monthly challenge, it is SUPER simple to do so. Head HERE where you will find all of the rules in the files tab. Here’s a look at the inspiration board!
For my card today I wanted to use the colors from the inspiration photo to create a fall wreath. One of my favorite techniques is using die cuts to creates larger objects and that’s exactly what I did today. This card does require a lot of die cutting, but I absolutely LOVE the end result! You can watch the video tutorial below for all the details on how I put this entire card together.
Here are a few finished photos of this fall wreath card!
And another closeup of the finished wreath. This did take a bit of time to put together, so I wanted it to be the main focal point on this card. For that reason, I kept all the other layers, except for a kraft mat, white without any embellishment! When I use a lot of white layers, I do add dimension to several layers. This add some shadow to the layers and helps them stand out from one another.
You have until the end of the month to enter a card of your own into the #cddmonthly challenge. If you want more info, head to the link above to see all the rules and also prizes that are given away each month to some lucky winners! As it’s the beginning of the month, you have plenty of time to enter a card or project of your own, based on the mood board above!
