Hello Everyone!! Today I am sharing some of my bible journaling with the brand new “Send Me” Stamp Set. This was such a fun page to put together and color up. It is pretty simple, but I added a bit of interest with multi color sentiments and also some bright and vibrant colors. You can watch the full video tutorial below to see exactly how I went about creating this Bible Journal Page!
I always like to lay out my stamps and plan my pages before I start stamping anything down. I am a bit more relaxed when making cards and don’t plan as much, but I only get one shot with my Bible Journaling pages, so taking that extra time to plan is totally worth it. Once I had a rough idea of what I was doing I started stamping. I started from the top on this page and worked my way down. The first stamp I worked with was the Lord Send Me word stamp, which I wanted to add a bit of interest to. With my color palette already selected – I went with yellow, blue, red & gray to fit the travel theme – I used my Memento Dew Drops to selectively stamp the different words in the sentiment in all of the different colors. Be sure and watch the video tutorial to see exactly how I did that!
Moving down the page, I pulled out my black dye ink pad and started stamping my “scene”. I did a bit of masking to stamp the globe and have it appear to be sitting on top of the suitcases. And finally next to the verse that includes “Go” I stamped the word stamp “Go” with the arrow pointing directly to Isaiah 6:9. For this I used blue dye ink so it would be very bold and bright.
My final step was coloring. I had already chosen the palette with my inks so I pulled out those colors in my colored pencils and added a few others – brown & green – to help add some more interest. I also added a shadow underneath the suitcases for a grounding effect. Finally, I pulled out my Micron pen and added a few dots around the letters in both word stamps I used. This added more interest and helped bring the sentiments front and center.
I also have a new card making tutorial for you using the new Dog Gone Christmas Stamp set!! You can watch the full process below!
