Craftin Desert Divas New Release Wrap Up Day 1

I know I probably say this every month, but this release has been so much fun!!! If you have missed any of the reveals, sneak peeks, or inspiration, you can still find all of that over on the Facebook Release Event or you can go to the CDD Group Page on Facebook where there is new inspiration posted daily!! (It’s a very active group!!) Today I have a new card and video tutorial for you using the brand new Arctic Pals. I did use this new set yesterday as well and you can find that card HERE!! Be sure and and watch the full video tutorial below!!

This background was one big experiment, but I did enjoy creating it! I used several colors of Distress Inks to watercolor stripes onto a piece of watercolor paper, blending between the colors to create a colorful night sky! I would highly suggest watching the full video tutorial for all the tips and tricks I learned along the way!

Finished Card 1

No night sky is complete without stars. I like to use white acrylic paint so I can get the most opacity and if I ever feel like I need it a bit more fluid, I dilute it with a bit of water. In the video tutorial I share two different ways to splatter on some stars, each creating a different look! Spritzes of Shimmer Spritz in Frost were the perfect touch to really make this background shine!

Finished Card 4

This background was perfect for the little polar bears from the brand new Arctic Pals Stamp Set from Craftin Desert Divas. I colored up these cuties and attached to the frame. I also created a silhouette scene using all black card stock and also the brand new Scenery Dies!

Finished Card 3

Tomorrow is the final day for the release wrap up so tune back in! I have one final video tutorial to share with you all! If you are interest in any of the CDD supplies I used on my card today, you will find them all linked down below! Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!
