Joy Clair Stamps Coffee Themed Stamps
For my card today I used the new Christmas Cocoa Stamp Set. This is one of the larger sets from Joy Clair Stamps, and there is soo much you can do with it!! I will also be using this new set later this month on a set of tags and will have a full video tutorial on them! Here’s a sneak peek before I get to the card for today!!
Moving onto today’s card, like I said above I used both cups from the Christmas Cocoa Stamp Set and did a quick bit of masking. I stamped my scene on a small rectangle die cut made from watercolor paper. Next on a scrap of watercolor paper, I stamped three of the marshmallows and also one of the cookies. All of my stamping was done with Versamark Ink and heat embossed in black. I also prepped my surfaces with an embossing bag to help with stray powders. If you’re curious about a few different ways you can black heat emboss you can watch that video tutorial HERE.
The color on my images was done with Spectrum Aqua Brushes, which are essentially a brush tipped watercolor marker. Distress Markers, Zigs, Tombow, etc. can all be substituted for a similar watercolor look! You can also just use plain watercolors! And because I did take the extra step and heat embossed my images, there was no waiting for colors to dry and I zipped through all of the coloring in no time!
I kept the overall design of this card SUPER simple, but to add a bit of interest I did mount all of my mats in a wonky style. I used the same Mixed Rectangle die set to die cut red and kraft cardstocks and mounted all of the panels onto an A2 top folding card base. The cookie and the marshmallows I also fussy cut and popped them up beside the cups with dimensional adhesive. And if you’re wondering where the sentiment is, it’s on the inside and it’s from this same stamps set. I built up the sentiment Warmest Wishes and stamped it in black dye ink, along with the snowflake scattered around the inside.
I hope you all are enjoying the blog hop so far!! If you are interested in the Christmas Cocoa Set I used today, you will find it linked below! Don’t forget to pick up any Joy Clair Coffee Themed Sets you’ve had your eye on, while you can get this awesome discount!! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Crafting Everyone!!
