A Shaker Card + Joy Clair Stamps July Challenge

It is the start to a new month and that means that there is a brand new challenge at Joy Clair Stamps! I am normally not one for challenges, but this one is sooo incredibly easy to play along with, you just can’t pass it up! I’ve put all the rules and also this month’s inspiration photo in the video below, so be sure and watch as I make a fun shaker card for this month’s challenge! Head HERE to enter your own card/project!!

For my card this month, I made a shaker card inspired by the photo inspiration. I used the Anchor of Hope stamp set and quickly stamped a scene on watercolor paper. For the stamping I used a black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to help me out with coloring later on.

For the coloring on this scene, I used the Leisure Arts watercolor pencils. So I did stamp on watercolor paper. This is a MUST for these pencils! Also, I blended everything out with a waterbrush so a very easy scene!

Finished 4

Be sure and watch the video tutorial down below to see exactly how I put together the shaker portion of this card and a few tips and tricks along the way! But for the inside of this card I did some more stamping and coloring. I have to say that I like the inside almost as much, if not more than the outside! I can’t wait to use this design for the outside of another card!!

This challenge has just started and you have until the end of the month to enter a card or project of your own! Be sure and do so before the winners are announced on the Joy Clair Blog on 7/31!! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my card today, you can find them all linked down below. As always, Happy Crafting Everyone!!
