Happy World Cardmaking Day!! Have you been playing along with the challenges happening over on the Joy Clair Blog? If not, be sure to head over there and check it out! You don’t want to miss any of the fun!! For World Cardmaking Day the design team is hopping with the Around the World theme. I went a bit literal with the challenge and created a space themed card. I also have a video tutorial to share with you, showing how I created that galaxy background with acrylic paint and an ink brayer! It’s super simple and easy! Watch the video tutorial down below for all the details!
Be sure to watch the video tutorial for all the details because this really is a technique that is easier to see in action than have explained through writing – especially my poor writing! There are many ways to create galaxy backgrounds, but this is by far the easiest and fastest way I have done it! And I absolutely love the finish this gives!
Like I said above, this gives a very unique finish to your card! I used heavy body acrylic paints and they left a little shine and a whole lot of texture! Because these are such thick paints, they leave behind almost a layered look to the background, which is such a neat look!
I hope you all enjoyed a look at how I created this card with an easy galaxy background made with acrylic paint! Be sure to hop along with the rest of this World Cardmaking Day Hop! Here’s the list so you can move right along! But don’t forget to check out my supply list down below as well! You can find all the supplies – linked up- that I used today!! Happy Crafting!!
