Foiling with Thermoweb & Joy Clair Stamps

This week Joy Clair Stamps is teaming up with Thermoweb to bring you lots of fun and shiny projects! If you don’t know Thermoweb makes DecoFoil and it is my absolute favorite foil to do any type of foiling with! The way most of us think of foiling is with a laser printer, laminator, and foil. But I understand a laser printer is an investment, so I was so happy to get to play around with the Thermoweb’s Clear Toner Sheets for today’s cards! They are so incredibly gorgeous, and I wanted to share a few different ways you could add a bit of color to them. You can watch the full video tutorial for all the details!

My first card is pretty simple, but adding the color to the card base, behind the toner sheet, really made the card more interesting. I started by foiling the Fallen Leaves Clear Toner Sheet with the Amber Watercolor foil. Then, using Distress Inks I added color by ink blending directly onto the card base. After adding the toner sheet and frame to hide the adhesive, I added on a flag banner with a sentiment from the Thankful & Blessed Stamp Set from Joy Clair. I used this stamp set just last week, you can find that video tutorial HERE.

My second card I did a little something different. I kept the foiling simple with the Wilderness Toner Sheets and Gold Foil, but to add color I used my alcohol markers! You could use alcohol inks as well, but I wanted to keep my colors on the tops of the trees only. This is such a quick and easy way to add color to the back of the toner sheets!

For the rest of my card I wanted to add a little bit of a leaf bundle around the sentiment. I used the Fall Leaves Stamp Set (one of my favorites for fall) and stamped several leaves and cut them out. I also foiled my sentiment (a die cut), so be sure to watch the video for all the details on how easy this was! I added my sentiment and a banner and then quickly adhered the leaves around the banner for a little added interest.

There are so many more tips and tricks in this video tutorial above, so be sure to watch it for all the nitty gritty details! And if you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my cards today, you will find them all linked down below. Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
