Today I am just sharing a card I made with you! I have had this idea in my head for awhile, there is no special technique I used, but I did want to share it because it is a masculine card and I know a lot of us struggle with the more masculine card ideas. I used several Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and I guess there is a technique in this card, selective stamping, which I did with my sentiment! You can watch the entire video tutorial down below!!
This is a super simple card, but it does take a little bit of time to do. There are a lot of components, each one is simple, but put together they take awhile to do. I first started by stamping SEVERAL of the pipes onto scrap white cardstock. I used the Midnight Ink from Catherine Pooler for all of my stamping on this card. After stamping I added Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to color in each one of the stamped images quickly and then fussy cut them all out. This took time, but I promise it is well worth it! After all of the images were cut out, I added some shading by adding Black Soot to all of the edges. Finally, to finish off the cut pieces and make them look completely finish I ran a black marker along all the cut edges.
The next step in this card making process is the one that took the longest. Now came the part where I fit all of these pipes together to make my background. I would highly suggest watching the video for this part! I just laid out the pieces and moved them around (without any adhesive) until I was happy with the layout, then I glued them all down. I added my sentiment (with a little selective stamping) and put together the front of the card.
The inside of the card is super simple as well. I stamped the remainder of the sentiment on the inside with the same Midnight ink (using selective stamping). And be sure to clean the top of your stamp before you stamp the rest on the inside! Finally, I added a little wrench that I stamped and fussy cut earlier with some adhesive and this card was finished!
I hope you all enjoyed today’s card! It was so much fun to put together! Those pipes were almost like a little puzzle to figure out! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my card today, you can find them all linked down below! Happy Crafting!!
