Hello everyone! If you made it here from Betz’s blog you are on the right track! If you are just starting out on my blog, be sure to head to the list down below so you can participate in the entire blog hop today with Joy Clair Stamps! Today, the design team is sharing several projects using Joy Clair’s new stamp set “Unashamed”. I used this new set to journal a bit in my Bible and you can watch the video tutorial down below!!
The “Unashamed” stamp set is full of great images which would be amazing on cards or tags, but I started by stamping one of the masks twice in my Bible with Versamark ink. Then I heat embossed both with a Sparkle Black Embossing Powder. There are also several images that you can stamp to decorate the different masks. I stamped a few ribbons on both sides of both masks and heat embossed those as well.
I don’t watercolor often, but when I do I like to use markers. I used my Memento Markers to lay down a quick bit of color and then used a water brush to blend out the color. Using a water brush really allowed me to keep the water to a minimum and not over saturate the pages. To finish off the page I stamped one of the sentiments on the top of the page in Versafine Clair ink.
Before I did any work on the page I prepped the page I would be working on with clear gesso and let that dry. The majority of the time I do not do any prep work on my pages, but watercolor tends to bleed quite a bit. Just by taking those few extra minutes, there was absolutely no bleed through on the finished pages!
