Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, but I do not have another Valentine’s Day card to share with you today. My card today is sort of an Anti-Valentine’s Day Card. I think this new set, called #single, from Joy Clair Stamps is just genius! This set is just perfect for those single people in your life or maybe for a Galentine’s Day celebration!! I have a super fun card to share with you today using this new #single Stamp Set and also a fun ombre stenciled background! Be sure to watch the video tutorial down below for all the details!
The background on this card is super easy to do! For the ombre, you really need three, or more shades, of one color of ink. I like to put my stencil down and then start with the lightest shade and blend it through the entire stencil. Then, with my mid tone I start from the top and go about two thirds of the way down and finally with the darkest shade I again start at the top and go only about one third of the way down the cardstock. For this card I blended directly onto the card base and used my oval blending brushes. I reviewed the blending brushes recently, you can find that HERE.
The remainder of the outside of this card was super easy to finish, too! Be sure to watch the video tutorial above for all the details!!
The inside of this card was so easy to finish, but I always like to bring a little something to the inside as well! I used the “Who cares about Valentine’s Day” sentiment and stamped it quickly on the inside for a super simple finished card!
I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today! It was such a fun and different card to make! If you are interested in any of the supplies that I used on my card today, you can find them all listed and linked down below! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
