I love the Color by Faith Series line from Joy Clair Stamps. The stamp sets are so much fun to use in my journaling, but I also love to use them in my card making as well. I just pair the images with a basic sentiment set! If you want to see how I made my card today, be sure to watch the video tutorial down below!
This card is all about the easy watercolor background! I stamped the background with the Blossom Stamp Set first and wanted to heat emboss in black. Normally, I would use a black pigment ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder, but I really wanted a rich black color. To achieve that nice opaque black I used a black pigment ink and black embossing powder. I like to stamp half of my panel and heat emboss the first side, then go back in and do the other half of the panel.
To watercolor my panel I used a variety of colors from Catherine Pooler Inks, which play really well with water. The heat embossing created a well, so the color didn’t run and the water coloring was very fast! I finished off the front of the panel with a simple sentiment that I built with the Hello Sentiments Stamp Set!
I love saving longer and larger sentiments, verses or sayings for the inside of the card. I used a larger and longer saying from the Blossom stamp set to fill the inside of the card and added a few little cacti stamped with green ink for the finishing touch!
