Joy Clair Lucky Charms Post
My card today is so bright and fun! It does have quite a few “pieces” that I put together to create the final card, so let me walk you through the process. I started with an A2 top folding card base made from white card stock. Onto that card base, I ink blended a rainbow background. I used dye inks and my favorite blending brushes! I tested these brushes out in a video tutorial, you can find that HERE!
My next step was stamping and coloring in each of my images from the Lucky Charms stamp set. I used the rainbow and pot of gold and stamp each with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, which I then heat embossed with black embossing powder. Each image was stamped onto watercolor paper so I could color them with my Arteza brush markers. To give them a more water color look, I blended the colors with a water brush. Finally, I fussy cut the images and ran a black marker around the edges for that finishing touch!
My third piece before finally putting the card together was the background for my stamped images. For this layer I used plain white card stock and blended some clouds with a cloud die cut, a clarity stencil brush, and Versafine Clair Paradise ink. To help add more texture and interest to this layer, I added a bit of Amplify ink in white to the bottom of each cloud “lump”. I LOVE the look of this stuff and it’s super easy to use! You only need to heat it up with your heat gun for that puffy effect! The final touch on this piece was stamping my “Happy St. Patrick’s Day sentiment”.
Once all of my “pieces” were finished, this card was super quick to put together. I added the rainbow and gold to the cloud background with foam tape and matted the background with black card stock. Finally, I added the cloud panel to the rainbow card base with more foam tape for more dimension! Super simple!!
And of course I couldn’t leave the inside blank! I used a shamrock image and sentiment from the set to quickly decorate the inside of the card as well!
