I am back again today with a fun St. Patrick’s Day die cut shaker card!
This project was created for Buttons Galore and More, to show case some of their new products for CHA 2019. If you are interested in seeing another one of my projects for the show, head HERE and watch how I made a fun vellum envelope with the Envelope Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers!
For today’s card I’m keeping it all about the Sparkletz, specifically the Lucky Charmz Sparkletz mix, which was included in the new Simon Says Stamp card kit! So if you are subscribed to the card kit and want to see another fun way to use the Sparkletz from Buttons Galore and More, watch the video tutorial below!
The main focus of this card was, of course, the Sparkletz. I kept the design very clean and simple, but it could easily be kicked up a notch with a rainbow striped background! I started by die cutting a rainbow from the center of a white card stock panel and added acetate to the opening. While I had my die cutting machine out, I also die cut a banner and two clouds.
For the shaker component of the card, I did double up on the foam tape. The Sparkletz mixes have a few larger pieces in the mix, so I like to make sure there’s plenty of room for everything to shake around as it’s supposed to! After filling up the shaker, I secured the back with a piece of vellum. Be sure to watch the video tutorial for all the details on putting the shaker together!
Here’s a closer look at the Lucky Charmz Sparkletz Mix from Buttons Galore & More!!
To finish this card design, I added a few white clouds and a simple flag banner that held my sentiment. For the sentiment I used the Lucky Charms stamp set from Joy Clair Stamps and heat embossed with gold embossing powder!
This was a such a quick and easy card to make, but shaker cards are always such a hit! I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today! And if you are interested in any of the supplies I used, you will find them all listed and linked down below! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!

Love this card. Using the rainbow as the shaker was ingenious. You are sooo talented and creative. I look forward every day to what you have created.
