One Card Design Two Ways

Coming up with new card designs is difficult so when I can create two cards with the same design but utilize two techniques for different results, I am a happy camper! For my set of cards today, it gets even better, the two different stamps I use come as a set for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps!! You can use the Outline & Solid Egg stamps together or separately like I did today for different results!! You can watch how I created both of my cards in the video tutorial below!

Both of these cards are the exact same design, I just used two different techniques to create the backgrounds. Each use the same stamp set and sentiment stamp from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps, which is even better! Also, I kept the color palette the same on each card as well for a nice comparison!

My first card is done with the solid egg stamp from the set and Catherine Pooler inks. I used a inking technique to add easy shading to my stamped images, so be sure to check out the video above for all the details!

For my second card I switched my stamp to the outline egg from the set and stamped my background onto watercolor paper with Midnight Ink from Catherine Pooler. I knew my Midnight ink pad would play nicely with the Arteza Real Brush Markers I would be water coloring with! If you’re curious about all the mediums that work with the Midnight Ink Pad, head HERE to check out the test I did!

After finish both cards with a fun sentiment and popping the panels onto card bases, I very quickly added a little stamped egg to the inside of each card! I always like to add a little something to the inside of my cards to pull the entire card together!

I hope you all enjoyed today’s video tutorial and how easy it can be to switch up the same card design for different looks! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used on my card today, you can find them all linked down below. Until next time, happy crafting!!

  1. Wow, love the two techniques you did and plan to try both. Just bought and received the true brush pens and can’t wait to try them. Thank you for always inspiring.
