I love Catherine Pooler inks. They stamp beautifully but there are also so many wonderful techniques you can use them with. One of those techniques is watercolor! All you need to do is pick up this ink with a brush, add a little water, and you have beautiful watercolors! You can watch the video tutorial below for all the details!
This card was so simple to put together and very quick! I started by stamping the candle and making a quick mask from a post it note. Then, after masking the candle I positioned the cake and stamped it as well. The final stamp was the large sentiment on the top, then it was onto watercoloring!
For all the details on the watercolor, be sure to watch the video above! I also added a little ink blending below the cake to finish off the scene. The final touch on the outside of the card was a bit of Judikins on the candle and flame for added shine!
I also stamped on the inside of this card. I only used one stamp, but by using the multi color stamping technique I was able to get so much interest!
I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used, you can find them all listed and linked down below. Until next time, happy crafting!!
