Using Joy Clair Background Stamps + 3 Card Ideas

Background stamps are a great way to make some very simple and quick cards, without sacrificing any of the interest. Joy Clair has some amazing high quality background stamps, but because they are a bit thinner then the regular A2 size, I feel like they don’t get the attention they deserve. Like I said these are super high quality, made in America, photopolymer stamps. They stamp just as well as any other Joy Clair stamps and they are simple to use! Be sure to watch the video tutorial below for all the details!!

Some supplies used on the video above were sent to me free of charge for design purposes. I only ever design for companies I can stand behind 100%!! To see who I currently or have previously designed for head HERE.

On my first project I used the Falling Leaves stamp. This is a fun one and can be used in so many ways! Today, I stamped the image onto regular cardstock and colored with my alcohol markers to create a very quick card. I used the Hello Sentiments stamp set (one of my faves) to finish this card!

For my second project I knew I wanted to watercolor the Tool Background, which meant I needed to stamp on watercolor paper. Watercolor paper can be a bit tricky because it has some texture, so I like to use my MISTI to do the stamping. Be sure to watch the video above for tips and tricks on using these background stamps in your stamp positioner! I used my Memento markers to quickly watercolor the background.

My third and final project is probably my favorite! I used the Christmas Lights background and I did a bit of multi color stamping!! It’s so easy to use this technique with these stamps, especially in your stamp positioner. I also used the 3D Poinsettia stamp set to add a few embellishments to this very simple card!

I hope you all enjoyed a look at how easy the backgrounds from Joy Clair Stamps are to use! And the amount of techniques you can use them for is endless!
