A Sparkly Rainbow Background

I love rainbow colors. They just make me happy. I also love sparkles. So on today’s card I decided to pair the two and create a very easy sparkly rainbow background! I used a brand new stamp from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps, too, which was the perfect bold addition to this simple card! Keep reading below to see how I put this card together!

Making the Handmade Thank You Card

This rainbow background was so easy to make! I started by scribbling water based (I used Memento) markets in rainbow order on a piece of watercolor paper. I did overlap the colors a bit to help with blending. Now the fun part! To add a ton of sparkle I used the Sheer Shimmer Stix from Imagine to blend the colors together. These come with a dauber top, so it’s super easy to do. If you’re not into sparkle, you can also use plain water and a paint brush or water brush to blend the colors.Then, just let it dry!

Because the background is so bright and colorful, I wanted to go big and bold with the sentiment. I used the new “Thanks Big” sentiment stamp from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps along with Versafine Clair ink in Nocturne. This added a nice bold statement!

And finally, I put the card together by simply matting the rainbow panel and attaching everything to an A2 card base.
