Hi everyone! Today it is time for another new release, this time from Joy Clair Stamps. Being released today, are two brand new digital stamp sets, both designed by Melinda Beltran and THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!!! Let me share each one with you.
The first is one that I can not wait to use, but I decided to hold off until the upcoming Coffee Lover’s Hop. I am so excited to use this gorgeous stamp set, though! It is called “Cup of Joy“. Click the photo below to buy it now!
The second set is called “Floral Joy” and it’s the set I am using for my card today. I do have a video coming sharing how I created my card for the day, but let me tell you, it has been a hectic month and I am behind! So I promise a video is coming soon!! Click the photo below to buy it now!
Why I Like Digital Stamps
Because I have a video coming that will explain how I created this card, I actually want to take this time telling you WHY I like digital stamps so much and some of the advantages of digital stamps. First and foremost their price is a lot more managable with my budget. A normal 4 x 6 stamp set costs ~$15 US dollars however these digital sets are $7.99 and $6.99, respectively. And there’s so much more you can do with them. Let me explain.
A physical stamp set comes in only that size. There is no altering or changing the size of the image you stamp. And don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the physical act of stamping, BUT there are times I would love to change the size of images. With digital stamps you can do that! Any size you can imagine. Whether you want to make the image super tiny or large enough to fill up an entire card, it can be done.
And you may think that digital stamps are only for those who love to color, and while that may be true the majority of the time, another technique I love to use digital stamps for is foiling! I have not found really good and reliable way to foil stamped images. I’ve tried the new Heidi Swapp ink pad and I’m not really impressed. I’ve tried heat embossing and foiling, and while that works the results are spotty. You name it, I’ve tried it. The only reliable way, for me, to foil a stamped image is to print it off and digital stamps are ready made for that!
Foiling is what I did to create this fun and shiny background for my card today. I can’t wait to show you the video tutorial!
Those are just some of the main reasons that I love digital stamps, but there are many more reasons! Space saving, lots of different techniques, digital scrapbooking, making stickers, etc!
But moving on to the reason you’re all here, the hop!! Let’s break down the details!
