Introducing Joy Clair Stamps Spring Floral Basket

Who’s ready for more new stamps from Joy Clair Stamps?? If you missed day 1, be sure to go back to yesterday’s post HERE and check it out! I not only shared my card but also shared why I love digital stamps so much. And the reason I’m focusing on digital stamps is because this new release from Joy Clair Stamps is all digital. Today, there are two more digital stamps that were designed by Melinda Beltran that are being released. Let me show each one.

Spring Floral Basket Digital Stamp Set

This set is stunning! This is perfect for those Mother’s Day cards that are needed in just a few short weeks. I used this set on my very simple card today. It doesn’t need a lot of an explanation on how I put it together, so instead I want to share a bit about how I print my digital stamps in this post. Click the photo above to head to the Joy Clair Stamps shop and buy this set!!

Here’s a look at my card for the day! I colored my image from the Spring Floral Basket with alcohol markers and added it to my card base. The sentiment I used is from a set I designed called “My Heart“.

How I Print My Digital Stamps

When I print my digital stamps, I always print with a laser printer. I use a very cheap black and white only laser printer from Brother. Here it is. You can click the photo and check it out on Amazon. Just know that if you do purchase this printer, you will also need to buy a cord to connect it to your computer, too.

I like this specific printer because it handles thick (110 lb.) cardstock. I’ve also put watercolor paper through it, too.

So why do I print with a laser printer? Honestly, I don’t have to think about what I’m going to do with the image with a laser printer. I can color it with any coloring medium IMMEDIATELY or I can foil it. I’ve colored laser printed images with water based markers, watercolors, colored pencils and OMS, and alcohol markers. It doesn’t smear. I find inkjet too finicky for my ever changing mind! Here’s a close up of the image I colored today. You can see there is no smearing whatsoever!

The one thing I always like to remind everyone when they are printing with a laser printer is to be sure you are changing the settings before you print, specifically the cardstock type. This will ensure that enough heat and toner is used for that specific paper type. Every printer is going to be a little different, but for the one I linked above, I always set the paper type to “Thickest”.

One Last Thing

There was one other digital stamp that was recently released called “Spicy Like That”. This is a very special set because 50 % of the proceeds of every set bought is going to Feeding America to help feed hungry families during this time. I know my husband and I have been giving to our local food bank here in Iowa because the need has increased so much and I know not everyone is in the position to do that right now. Buying this set, getting something for yourself, but knowing that you are also giving to a good cause is a great way to give back right now, too! Here’s a look at the set. Just click the photo to shop – Not using an affiliate link for this one!

I hope you all enjoyed my card today. Until next time, happy crafting!!

  5. I need to learn how to do digital stamps.
I’m not too ‘puter-literate but it would make
stamping a lot of cards go faster and
have better results. Love your flower.
